Happy Karvachauth to all of you! Today is a very auspicious day for ladies. On this day married ladies do fast for the long life of their husband. It is a one day festival celebrated by Hindu women in Northern India, in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety & longevity of their husband. I am a true believer of God and I also do fast for the long life of my hubby😊! Well, today I am going to share a recipe of besan laddu which can also be prepared on Karvachauth or any occasion. I made this laddu on Karvachauth and want to share recipe.

* Besan/Gramflour- 200gm or 2 cups

* Ghee- 200 gm

* Sugar/Tagaar/ bura- 2 cups or 200 gm

* Green Cardamom- 5-6

* Cashews- 15-20

* Almonds- 8-10

* Pistachios/ pista- 8-10


* First cut all the dry fruits and keep aside.

* Take a nonstick kadahi and pour ghee. Add besan or gramflour and roast it on a medium flame burner. Stir it continuously.

* When besan becomes  brown or a nice smell start to come then add 1 tsp of water to make it grainy. 

* Again roast it for 5 minutes. Add dry fruits .Then keep it in other vessel and let it cool . 

* If you feel ghee is less then you can add more. Now when mixture cool down then mix cardamom powder and sugar/Tagaar. Make laddus.


Phool Makhane Ki Kheer/ Makhana Kheer Recipe With Video

Hello Everyone !

As we are celebrating Navratris nowadays to welcome Ma Durga. Generally most of us do fast for nine days. During fasting we can take fruits,milk products, dishes made by Kuttu ka atta, Singhara ka atta, sabudana and some vegetables by adding sendha namak/rock salt. But today I am sharing you the makhana Kheer recipe. It is very tasty and you should try this.

* Phool makhana- 2 cups

* Full cream Milk- 1 litre

* Sugar- 3/4 th cup

* Almonds- 8-9

* Raisins/kishmish- 9-10

* Green Cardamom Powder- 1 tsp

* Khoya/mawa- 3/4 cup (optional)

* Ghee- 1 tsp


* Cut makhana & almonds.

* Take a nonstick kadahi, pour ghee and roast makhana till it becomes brown, keep aside.

* Take a heavy bottom pan, pour milk. Let it boil. Add makhana and cook for five minutes.

* Now mix almonds, raisins and Mawa . Cook for 10 minutes.

* Mix sugar and stir it well.

Turn off the flame and your tasty makhana Kheer is ready to serve. First offer to Ma Durga and then serve to all.

Kadah Prasad/Atte Ka Halwa Recipe With Video

A very hearty welcome to Navratris to all of my readers ! Now the days to welcome Ma Durga ! For Kolkatans (like me😀), these are the days of full masti and dhammal. Ma Durga comes with her children once in a year, so these are the special days for everyone to worship Ma Durga. Ma always have a hand on her every child without making any discrimination so this is the time when we should show our love towards her by making so many dishes. Today I am going to share a recipe which is must for every Puja it is none other than Kadah Prasad or Atte ka Halwa.

* Wheat Flour- 1 cup

* Sugar- 1 cup

* Ghee- 1 cup

* Water- 2.5 cups


* Take a nonstick kadahi, pour ghee and wheat flour or atta.

* Roast it well on low to medium flame until it turns brown.

* Add water and let it dry till it dry.

Besan(Gram Flour) Halwa Recipe/Non-Sticky Besan Halwa Recipe With Video

Hope you all are doing great. Generally, halwa is liked by everyone. Halwa can be prepared by using wheat flour, semolina or suji and by besan. Besan halwa can also be taken when you are suffering from cold and cough. Today I am going to share besan or gramflour halwa recipe which can be easily prepared by using milk. Generally, when we make besan halwa it is sticky but by following this recipe you can make non – sticky halwa.

* Besan/Gramflour – 1 cup

* Ghee- 1/2 cup

*  Sugar – 3/4 th cup

* Milk- 2 cups

* Almonds- 7-8

* Cashews – 7-8

* Green Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp


* Cut all the dry fruits and make powder of green cardamoms. Keep aside.

* Take kadahi, pour ghee and besan/gram flour, roast it well on low flame.

* It will take about 15-20 minutes for roasting. Don’t roast it on high flame.

* When it becomes brown then mix sugar, roast it for 1 minute. Add milk , dry fruits and cardamom powder and keep stirring till it becomes dry and halwa like consistency.

Great, your halwa is ready to serve.

Ukdiche Modak Recipe Without Using Mould/ Pressure Cooker Ukdiche Modak Recipe With Video

Hello Everyone !!

Hope you all are preparing for Ganesh Puja Celebration.  Happy Ganesh Puja  to all in advance🎇🎆 Ganesh Puja is celebrated in Maharashtra. We prepare many dishes on this big day. Modak is also one of them. There are many types of modak which can be prepared to please Lord Ganesha ! But today I am sharing ukdiche modak recipe which you can prepare in pressure cooker very easily and instantly. So those who are preparing modak at a very first time, even they can easily make it without taking any tension.

* Rice(soaked for 2hrs)/Rice flour-2 cups

* Fresh grated  coconut- 1.5 cups

* Jaggery- 1 cup

* Almonds- 8-10

* Cashews- 8-10

* Melon seeds- 2 tbs

*Raisins- 10-12

* Green Cardamom Powder- 2tsp

* Ghee- 2 tbs

* Salt- a pinch of


*  Make a smooth paste of rice. If you are taking rice flour then leave this step. Cut all the dry fruits and keep aside.

* Take a nonstick kadahi , pour ghee. Add the smooth paste of rice. Mix salt. Let it dry on medium flame. Keep stirring. When fully dried then turn off the flame.

If you are taking rice flour, as for 2 cups of rice flour add 1.5 cup of water and put flour in a boiling water. Now turn off the flame and cover it for 5 minutes. 

* Take out this mixture in a plate and knead well just like flour. You can add 1-2 tsp of water while kneading this dough. Dough should be smooth. Keep aside but cover it.

* Take another nonstick kadahi. Add a little bit of ghee and put jaggery. Let it melt then add coconut mixture and stir it. When it will be dried then mix all the dry fruits and cardamom powder. Stir it till it becomes fully dried. Turn off the flame and let it cool down.

* For making modak, take a small ball from the rice dough and flat it with your palms after rubbing oil. Fill the coconut filling and make plates of the dough with the help of your finger slowly. Make all the Modak- with the same process. You can see the process in my video.

* Take a pressure cooker and add 1 glass of water. For steaming I had used Idli stand. Grease it well and put all Modak in the idli stand. Now close the cooker lid without putting whistle. Steam it for 8-10 minutes.

* After 8-10 minutes, turn off the flame and take out all Modak- in a plate. First offer it to Lord Ganesha.

Mawa Modak Recipe With Video (Without using Mould & Food Color)

Hope you all are doing great! Modak is the most favorite sweet of Lord Ganesh. Whenever we hear the word Modak then automatically we remember Ganesh ji, isn’t it?? It’s a famous dish of Maharashtra where everyone prepares Modak on Ganesh Utsav to please Him. Different types of modak can be prepared & Mawa Modak is one of them.

Well, today I am going to share the recipe of mawa modak without using any mould & Food color. It  is very easy to make. I tried various types of mawa modak as – Chocolate Modak, Kesar Modak, Coconut Modak & Pink Color Modak (Pinky Modak😊) You can see the full recipe on my YouTube channel,  here is the link-


*  Mawa – 250gm

* Powdered Sugar/ Tagar- 200gm

* Elachi Powder- 2 tsp

* Saffron strands – 7-8

* Coconut Powder- 2 tbs

* Turmeric Powder – 1/2tsp

* Beet juice- 2-3 tsp(For pinky modak)


* Roast khoya in a nonstick kadahi and roast it well until it dried.

* After roasting let it cool well.

* Mix sugar & elachi powder when mawa cool down propmawa .

* For Chocolate Modak-

Separate some mawa from the roasted one ,add chocolate powder and make modak by giving shape.

* For Kesar Modak-

Take some roasted mawa, mix Kesar strands already dip in water &turmeric. Give shape of modak.

*For Coconut Modak-

Add coconut powder in the roasted mawa &sugar mixture. Mix it well & make modak.

* For Pink Color Modak-

Add beet juice in the roasted mawa-sugar mixture . Make modak.

Your tasty modak are ready to serve.

Homemade Mawa Recipe With Video

How are you all? Hope you all are doing great. Now Rakshabandan festival is gone and more festivals are coming soon. I love festivals because they add joy and happiness in our boring routine schedule. It’s a known fact that sweets and festivals are interrelated. No festival is complete without making sweets. We can make mawa peda, gulabjamun, mawa cake, mawa modak and many more dishes from mawa.

Well, today I am going to share the homemade mawa recipe. This recipe is very much easy & everyone can make mawa at home. This one is a full proof recipe with all tips given in the video. Please like it and share it.



*   Milk – 2 litres ( Take as per your choice)

*  Milk Powder- 1 cup ( optional)

*  Cream/ Malai –  1 cup ( optional )


*  Boil milk in a nonstick kadahi on medium flame and let it thicker for some time. Keep stirring.

*  When milk remain one fourth then add both cream and milk powder. Stir continuously.

* Now milk becomes very much less and thickens. Turn off the flame .

Mawa is ready now.

You can make mawa and keep it in fridger in a air tight container. Whenever you need then just came out before 2 hours. You can make all tasty sweets with mawa.

As the festive season is knocking at your door😊, I am going to share a very simple but tasty sweet recipe, it’s none other than Mawa Peda Recipe/ Khoya peda RecipeRakshabandan , a Great Great festival , a token of a love of a brother & sister👫, is a special festival. Being a sister I can easily understand the feelings of a sister who tie a rakhi on her brother’s hand. Tying a rakhi is only a symbolic representation to express her love towards her brother. She always pray to God for the well being of her brother and in return brother gives an assurance to protect her. I am really lucky to have such a brother in my life who always support me. I am lucky to have the world’s best brother who never expressed his love by words but I can feel his love by seeing his eyes. He is always ready to support me in my all ups and down. No words are enough to express his love. Only want to say,  May God bless you a very happy and long life.Love you bhaiya 😊!

   On this festive occasion, if you want to make a sweet then here is a very simple recipe of making mawa peda . You can make this peda at your home very easily. If you wish to offer a home made sweet dish to your brother then this one is best. Here is a video of mawa peda recipe, just have a look-



* Mawa – 1 cup

*  Powdered Sugar- 1/2 cup

* Elachi Powder/Cardamom Powder- 1tsp

*  Pistachio/ Pista- 2 tsp/ few for decoration


*  Roast mawa/khoya in a nonstick kadahi till it becomes dry. After drying fully, let it cool.

* When mawa becomes fully cool then add powdered sugar/tagar & elachi powder. Mix it well.

* Now make peda and decorate it with pista.

Instant Jalebi Recipe Without Yeast & Color With Video

Hello everyone !

‘Rimjim barrish mein garamagarm jalebi miley toh majha hi aa jaye’😀 Isn’t it?? You can easily enjoy this lip smacking sweet dish at home.  Instant jalebi / quick jalebi can be made instantly without making so much preparation. There is no need to make batter eight hours before enjoying the taste of jalebis. So it’s a perfect recipe because I have not used any metallic food color while making these jalebis. Instead of using the metallic color I  used fruit juice to make it more nutritious. Here is a recipe of Instant jalebi without using yeast & color.You can easily see this recipe on my YouTube channel with full tips-


Maida / All purpose flour- 1 cup

Smooth paste of urad dal- 1/4th cup

Baking Powder- 1/3 tsp

Beet juice(For color)- 3-4 tsp

Sugar- 2 cups

Water- 1.5 cups

Elachi Powder/Cardamom Powder- 1tsp

Lemon juice- 1 tsp


*  First soak urad dal for 2 hours and make a smooth paste. Keep aside.

* Take Maida in a bowl. Add urad dal paste,baking powder & beet juice. Make a smooth batter by adding water. Generally 3/4 cup of water is required to make this batter. It should not be too thin or too thick.

*  Take a pan on a medium flamed burner. Add water and sugar for making sugar syrup for jalebis. The consistency of sugar syrup will be less than one thread. That is when it becomes thick and going to make one thread consistency syrup, switch off the flame . Add elachi powder/cardamom powder and lemon syrup. Keep aside

*  Heat oil in a flat bottomed kadahi on a medium flame. Take a reseal.pack for making jalebis. Put this packet in a glass and fill it with the batter. Now pour it in the kadahi by giving shape of jalebis.

*  Stir it well. When they become brown , take it out and put them in the sugar syrup. Keep in the sugar syrup for 8-10 minutes. After that take it out and serve them.

Make all jalebis like this.

Great! Without using yeast and color your tasty jalebis are ready to serve.

Shravan or Savan is the holiest month to worship Lord Shiva . In this month generally Hindus do fast on Monday to please Lord Shiva . So today, I am going to share a recipe which is totally perfect for   fast. Generally Singhara atta  halwa is made on navratras or on any fast days. Singhara atta is easily available at every grocery shops in India and Indian departmental stores in foreign country. So anyone can give it a try.

Singhara atta- 1 cup

Sugar- 1 cup

Ghee- 3 tsp

Cashews- 2 tsp(optional)

Raisins- 2 tsp

Water- 3 cups


*  Take a non-stick kadahi . Pour ghee on a medium flamed burner.

*  Add singhara flour and roast until it become dark brown.

* Turn off the flame ,add sugar and mix water.  Add dry fruits & stir it well.

*  Turn on the flame and stir it until it becomes dry like normal halwa.

Now your halwa is ready to serve.
