Kavisha’s Poha Review with Recipe

How are you all? Hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to review Kavisha’s poha which I had received a few days back. Poha is flattened rice/beaten rice, a dehusked rice which is flattened into flat light dry flakes. Poha is a popular snack item in Maharashtra.It is not only famous  in Maharashtra but all other parts of India because it is a light and easy fast foods in a variety of Indian cuisine styles.

Coming on, Kavisha’s poha is a prodouct of AAGMAN AGRO FOODS,Borivali, Mumbai. It has fssai mark on it, so no need to worry about its quality.

MY VIEWS-

I generally make poha once in a week in the breakfast as it is light and instant cooking recipe. I tried many variations of the Kavisha Poha which I had received for review. To be very honest, all dishes which I tried through this Poha were tasty :). It comes in a very eye-catching and attractive  packaging. I really love its packaging. The quality of Poha inside it, is really high quality. So from my point of view if you are going to buy this Poha its really worthy. All the flaxes are separate and there is no black or dirty flakes in it.  So the quality is really good. 

RECIPE-

As Poha is a Maharashtrian dish but is very healthy indeed. Kanda Poha is the world famous Maharashtrian dish.You can prepare different snacks by this. As I made fried Poha, Poha pakoda and simple easy kanda poha. All variations which I tried were  awesome:mrgreen:. I usually tried to add various veggies as it is more healthy and nutritious for kids as well as all . You can exclude them as per your wish.

INGRIDENTS-

Poha- 1.5 cup

Onion- 1 pcs.(finely chopped)

Turmeric-1/2tsp

Mustard seeds-1 tsp

Green chilli- as per your taste

Sugar- 1 tsp

Peanut-2 tbs

Carrot-1/2 cup(finely copped)

Beans- 1/2cup(finely chopped)

Peas-1/2 cup

Curry leaves- 10-12

Coriander leaves- for garnishing

Salt- As per taste

Method-

1. Rinse the Poha in water till they soften. Keep aside. Now dry roast peanut untill they becomes crunchy.

2. Now take a kadahi and put it on medium flamed gas. Pour oil, crackle the mustard seeds. Now add onion and saute them. Add curry leaves ,green chilli and saute for 1/2 minute. Add all chopped vegetables and mix turmeric and 1/2 cup of water . Cover its lid and leave it for 10 minutes on low heat. 

3. When all the vegetables cooked and water used (there should not be no water remain)then add poha ,salt and roasted peanut and stir well for 1/2 minute. Garnish with coriander leaves.I also add lemon juice in it . It increases its taste.

Tasty,yummy, nutritious poha is ready to serve.

Poha Pakoda- Poha pakoda is also very easy and tasty snack item . Its really a different ususal snacks. Try it also . 

Fried Poha- As I said earlier I tried fried poha also. It is a good snack item. You just have to fry this poha in the oil . After frying take a kadahi, pour a little bit of oil and crackle cumin seeds, curry leaves , red chilli and salt. Then add all fried poha with crunchy peanut. Yummy😁 Its really very tasty snack item.
